The stories recounted in the little video are more common than the stereotypically assumed reasons ‘why’ people are jobless/homeless. That’s part of what I’m trying to reveal in Giving Voice.

What a sad story. Glad there was some hope for change. I know what it’s like though to be unemployed and desperate. So glad they found help, My church also participates in serving meals for the homeless.

Locally, some members of St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church are taking turns with other groups providing an occasional evening meal for the homeless and, at their request, leading a devotional (at the Whosoever Church). It is a time of great camaraderie and much needed, but one can only dream of a time when it is not required because everyone has a home.
