August 13th is the official date – BUT – it’s never too late to celebrate!
I’m not lefthanded, but my baby bro is…along with at least one person in each of our parents’ siblings and consequent families…I guess you could say we’re a lefthanded heavy family (groan).
(yep, this is for day four of my 6 years on WP.org posts)
I’ve a friend, who should really have been a lefthander but when he was in school in the 1950s they made him write with his right…his writing is dreadful! And he had other issues as he got older, he would be directing his mate from a map in the car, and tell him, “next right” and of course as this mate turned right, he would yell out, not that way “I said right…” then all the laughing would evolve with the map reader getting more and more hopping mad!!!
Yeah, that’s the way it was back then. My folks were adamant that if my bro was a natural leftie, he should be ‘allowed’ to stay that way. Now a days, it’s been proven it really messes up the brain to purposely switch someone’s handedness. If it’s a medical necessity – like injury, etc – that’s a different deal of course.
I always wanted to be left-handed. Was that because it was a little out-of the-box?
I’ll bet so!
😉
Funny. Made me smile… because apparently some side of my brain wanted that to happen.
HA!
I have dated a lot of “lefties” in my life. I get a kick out of the saying that only left-handers are in their right mind.
I’m pretty sure this chart was sent to me by my baby bro a few years ago on August 13th!
But hey, I’m the cool one! HA!
😎
One of my nieces is left handed. She’s very good at softball.
Then you know her assigned seating whenever you go out as a family for dinner…All of us got the ‘lefties’ situated first before the rest of us would take our own seats.
