Yes, I do like this song and it was great to hear Buffy sing it live last weekend. Great selection of songs on the newest CD. “Medicine Songs.”
I’m envious of your recent festival experience, getting to hear and see and be a part of a Buffy concert – the Red Dress onstage that you photographed is such a great way to make a social statement!
Thanks Laura-I absolutely loved that. Nipped over to FB and Spotify to follow her. Why haven’t I heard of her before?!
Will check out some of her other tracks later.
Andy!
Always delighted to expand your musical horizons (as you do with mine)…you probably missed her as she was blacklisted back in the day (the 60s) and since she’s a Native Canadian, that black listing might have held more tightly in your part of the Commonwealth, too.
You might be interested to know she was a regular guest on Sesame Street and those clips might even be rerun on current episodes – though I haven’t a clue as to how SS is these days!
😉
I soooo love this song, Laura!!!!
Yeah, me too! Meaty content with a deep-down native/natural beat…
