This is a test (post). This is only a test (post).
As per my latest Jetpack techie-fixer-upper suggestion, I am sending this to see how it functions in a hopefully ‘fixed’ state!
Here’s what should happen that’s of relevance to you my Readers/Subscribers (formerly called Followers):
- This post should appear in your notifications however you get them – WP Reader, email, etc
- There should be a space under the notification for you to comment and/or Like if so desired
- You should still be subscribed (please check if you are) – problems with Jetpack originally included deleting subscribers/followers
See ya on the other side – hopefully Three’s the Charm…because ‘One‘ – is the loneliest number in the Internet…Nope not gonna embed the referenced & punned vid. …even if it is by Three Dog Night. 🙂
Instead. Head here for the marketing vid for lessons (with yours truly) the Arts Center slapped together in a 15 minute session between students. It’s buried deep within the reels of The Arts Center Facebook page. If you listen to the background music towards the end, they added stock Banjo music – say what?
FYI: I tried to ’embed’ it using the WP Facebook Block but found out that block no longer functions due to a Facebook decision…not at all related to Jetpack! HA! Yet another ‘test’.
Since I don’t do Facebook, this isn’t a real problem but I mention this as a ‘Public Service’ to my fellow WP bloggers.
This post just showed up in my Feedly account. I was able to read what you wrote, but when it came time to comment the system stopped me, forcing me to sign into WP again even though I was already signed in and have been all morning.
For the record, that happens to me, too on some blog sites which is beyond my understanding! And irritating.
Thanks for letting me know, Ms Bean and for signing back in to comment.
Three’s the charm, indeed! 🙂 All that should happen, as per your points above, does happen. Lovely to read you, again. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Yay! Thanks for checking in on me, Khaya. Have a great rest of your day.
Good to see you in the Reader, Laura! Quite a few blogs have had problems with one thing or another during the various changes and upgrades to WP. Your test video worked just fine. The Reader has *usually* worked for me when other methods do not. Their search engine still has a few odd problems, and some people show up as not existing, but I know they are there.
Good to see you in the comments, Lavinia! 🙂
What you said, “some people show up as not existing, but I know they are there.” is spookily true, eh?!
I hope you and your homestead are flourishing during this Springtime transition to Summer.
Seein’ you in my Reader. No issues! 🙂
Yay! Thanks for letting me know!
By jove, I think you’re getting it! Love the “classic” video. 😆
By Crackey, I think you’re right!
That was too awesome that video – wow that brings back memories of my childhood! I used to be frightened that someday the sound would come on and it wouldn’t be a test – it would be an apocalyptic nightmare come true!
When I listened to it on youtube, it did creep me out at first. Like yourself – I never really was upset about the interruption, more worried if it would end up NOT being ‘only a test’!
I think it’s sort integrated into our minds! Glad it stayed “only a test” 🙂
This was in my email inbox and I read it on my phone. I’ve never seen you in my WP reader and always wondered why. I guess that’s what you’re trying to fix?
Well, I think it’s settled down for now…I’m glad you received the email notification. BTW: Happy Mother’s Day!
I have had so much trouble with reader both trying to read posts, and trying to have others read my posts….good luck. But I saw this in reader.
I know, right? Like I mentioned in a previous post, WP has many, many issues…but I stick with it because of the many connections made via the platform. I know you get it, LA!
Good luck with your own Reader Issues and thanks for letting me know my latest post showed up.
👍👍good luck
I came here via an email notification. Not been on my WP reader yet. Had to sign in to comment.
Thanks for adding to the data pool, Andy. I think things might just be ‘resolved’ – but still giving it time, just in case!
I finally arrived here via WP too 🙂
Great to know! Thanks!
It came through load and clear !
Beeee3eeeep
LOL 🙂
Yep, I can see this post, too!
Thanks for letting me know – this problem just might be ‘resolved’!
I read this on my cell phone. I heard my first “test” early this week, then the real thing on my phone last night for wild fire evacuation in two communities to the north.First time this season we are steeped in smoke. Sigh.
I hesitated on posting the youtube vid as it kindof gave me the creeps reminding me of such alerts growing up. I’m dismayed at the prospect of early wild fire evacs in your neck of the woods. Take care – particulate matter spreads far & wide. 🙁
Hi Laura. Sorry about your Jetpack woes. I might just have to hear that opening piano note of One now because I like that tune as well as several other Three Dog Night songs. Happy Mother’s Day! (That made me think of another Three Dog Night song—Mama Told Me.)
Oh yeah, Mama Told Me shows how far reaching our Mama’s are in our lives even now years after such experiences as described in the song!
FYI: Dad and I did a jazzy take on ‘Joy to the World’ as part of our fun dad/daughter duo set list back in the day. He was the star – blowing his heart out on that tenor sax…I know it’s Mother’s Day, but writing that got me thinking of Dad, too!
😎
I have a memory of riding in the back of apickup (That was allowed?) with a bunch of other little league baseball players, singing Joy to the World at the top of our lungs.
Love that visual! And the freedom felt!
I was a able to Comment. I also dumped my facebook profile back in 2021. Rarely miss it.
Thank you Laura for letting me know how the process went for you. I’m tickled to see you ‘back’ in the comments! HA!
Laura, I was able to access this post. I hope you were able to see this comment. I’m sorry you’re having to go through this. 😓
Yippee – this came through via the Reader! This is still a ‘test post’, but so far thing are looking good. Thanks for letting me know how things were on your end. 🙂
