Oh, that quote resonates! And thank you for sharing the beautiful music too.
Mothers just ‘know’. Thanks for connecting with my Ma via her wisdom quoted here.
hugs
Such beautiful music. I love classical guitar and could listen to it all day. A very wise quote from your Ma. Thanks so much for sharing, Laura.
You are more than welcome – glad the music and quote resonated with you this day.
Laura, I loved the quote. We have traveled most of our adult lives and lived out of the U.S. and really appreciated coming “home” to be with friends and family. We sometimes forget that not everyone is as fortunate to have a safe, cozy home to come back to.
Well said. Thank you for your comment, Marla.
This was a beautiful video. So soulful in his playing and he looked like it was really enjoying it. I too loved that quote. Displacement comes in so many forms too.
Yes, very true.
The quote is so wise and the music soulful. Thank you for sharing both.
🙂
The quote from your Ma shows wisdom and the guitar playing so expresses that. Beautifully done, so soulful.Everything in my life came to a halt to watch and listen to Andrew York playing Torres.Wow.
Lovely comment, thank you!
So glad to introduce you to the sounds of exquisite musicianship on a Torres guitar…legendary instruments in the hands of such a master player is magical.
That was beautiful, Laura. Interesting timing too. Yesterday at church, I talked with a friend who had recently returned from Costa Rica, where we have a sister church. She was there when a hurricane hit. It devastated one area almost completely, due to flash floods. So horrible. With homes destroyed, this song is a poignant reminder.
So many lives…(sigh)
Happy that you were touched by the music, L.Marie.
