We need to call theses ‘random’ shooting attacks what they: cowardly acts. When a coward takes a rifle into a group of unsuspecting, unarmed, non-combatants and shoots them, that is not a random act that’s a cowardly act and the media should use that word.
I agree, mass shootings/murders are 100% cowardly. In the name of what? Self. Power. Conquest. Dare I say – evil?
I’ve never thought of those acts as being random at all – it takes a certain amount of effort/planning/resolve to go out and do those horrific deeds.
Your state has had more than its share of them, too.
🙁
Utterly incomprehensible – and yet here in our own country these things are all too common – a reflection on our national character? Perhaps more on the focus of ‘leadership’ values not being in sync with the heart of we the people.

So very sad, but important to remember.
…even in the midst of current events…
Thanks, Luanne for stopping by.
So many of these senseless events now! Wonderful, poignant quote, Laura! <3 Hope you are doing well.
Yes, I am, thanks Cheryl for asking!
I just cannot imagine the kind of hate he must have had in his heart to do these unspeakable acts. Beautiful image and quote.

Remembered every year in this grieving city ❤️
…indeed…
It’s important to recognize and remember these sad days in history. It makes me terribly sad for the victims and their families.
Me too…
Time marches forward, but not without some lingering sadness. Perfect quote
The quote is from the first two lines in his poem, “The Leaden-Eyed”
Thank you for posting this, Laura!!! So sad!
Especially since these sort of things have only escalated over the intervening years. 🙁
