The road ends, but the journey continues...

Everything's Coming Up…Daisies?

Contrary to popular belief, I am a snapdragon.

Come join me in a Daisy Dance

Let the Daisy Dance begin…

I never thought of myself in flower terms before, but even if I had, I’m not sure I would have associated a snapdragon with my personality before taking this little quiz.  Interestingly, I took it 8 times in a row and came up as a snapdragon each time.

But hey, I love giant purple irises, deep red orange poppies, daisies and…

Milkweed

Milkweed is one of my favorite plants. Such beauty in several stages of its life cycle: The fragrance of emerging flowers is intoxicating, the flowers themselves a gorgeous purple, and the resultant seed pods other-worldly. My family knows that I want milkweed to be planted on my grave when the time comes.  🙂
These past few months I have been preparing blog entries for a serious series I hope to launch before the end of the year; perhaps even before the November craziness that is NaNoWriMo!  Coming across this little flower quiz, I realized it could be used as a sort of relief for you (my readers) once I begin the process of posting those entries.  As a point of reference and contact with the little flower quiz as a  ‘respite’ (just a click away), a snapdragon badge will be displayed in the sidebar through out the duration of that series of posts.
I am still in a quandary as to what to name this forthcoming serious series.  Until that gets figured out, I will wait on presenting it.
In the meantime, take the little quiz and declare your flower identity in the comments section of this post!

I am a snapdragon.  How about you?snapdragons

    BTW–the like button wasn’t working!

Thanks for the heads up on that. Hopefully it will work itself out by then end of the day. And thanks for the ‘almost’ like as a result!

I’m a snapdragon too! Weird, especially when it says a snapdragon means a ‘prankster”–not sure how the answer to those questions would add up to that.
On another note, now I’m really interested in finding out what your new series of posts are going to be about! You prankster!

    • laura bruno lilly

The prankster part of being a snapdragon was a puzzlement for me, too…but then perhaps it comes out in mysterious ways, eh??
Glad I got your curiosity up on the upcoming serious series. Still toying with a few title ideas.

    Hi Laura,
Took your test and came up a Daisy! I can live with that. Thank you for the quiz.

      Terry:
Hmmm, wonder what Father Constantine would come up as? 🙂
Hopefully, he’ll be making another appearance soon?

I am a daffodil, which surprises me, however I really like daffs; they were so prevalent in Britain, and last a fair amount of time in a vase.
Looking forward to your series! 😉

I know, the snap surprised me too…maybe it’s a slice of our personality that is a bit veiled from our own perspective. I love how snaps can be made to make funny faces and ‘talk’ tho.
As for the series, I’m beginning to get ‘cold roots.’ HA! Had to get in a pun, eh?
So far we have daffs, snaps and a bit of canna…heh-heh Let’s party 😉

OK, so I took the “test” and it said i was a “Canna”. That’s a flower? Do I have to go to Colorado to buy some “canna”. If so, I’m packing up. Anything excuse that gets me west ’25………. I’m so easy…

      😀
Huge guffaw! I love your play on words: canna as in you-know-what!
Did you look up the trait description? It seems to fit what I know about you from your on-line presence:

Canna – You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets in the way of what other people think. You are proud of yourself and your accomplishments and you enjoy letting people know that.

Stay cool you easy rider, you.

        Thanks Laura.
I’ll gladly accept the trait description of the “Canna” personality, because after re-reading my comment and cringing at the typos there’s one thing for sure, I don’t have what it takes to be an English teacher.

But tell me, did you ever want to be an English teacher?
          😉
Keep on writin’, I’m waiting for your next post!
