“Could we not argue that America is about freedom…” South Carolina state senator, the Rev. Clementa Pinckney, one of 9 slain at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC.
I’ve been nominated by Geralyn of Where My Feet Are to take part in the 3 days, 3 quotes challenge. This is my first ever nomination for anything ‘blog’ related, so I’m tickled pink to participate. And also sobered by its timing. Thank you Geralyn.
The rules of the challenge are:
1) Thank the person who nominated you.
2) Post a quote each day for 3 days.
3) Each day nominate 3 new bloggers to take part.
My nominees are:
Anna
L.Marie
Jayne
(Hope you can participate but no worries if you can’t)
What a perfect quote. Timely. Sobering. Thanks for sharing.
So glad it rang true for you, too.
So much food for thought; I don’t read the news, but my daughter brought this event to my attention yesterday, and I’m still without words to elaborate my feelings.
Not sure if I can get to three quotes in three days, but I’ll give it a go…. 😉

Sometimes being without words is a pure form of ‘feeling’. In fact, it is the often the best way I commune with my Lord…
And about that 3/3 challenge: Yippee I’ve got a taker!

That’s a great quote! Taking a stand for your beliefs is pretty radical but necessary.
I’m sorry I couldn’t participate in this challenge. 🙁
You’ll be happy to know this little challenge is helping me to make it to my 2nd yr bloggoversary. I remember you encouraging me to stick it out and I think I can – I think I can – I think I can 😉
BTW-no problem about not participating. (didn’t intend to use a double negative, but well there it is)
Glad you took the challenge, Laura. Prayers to all affected in SC (we’re all affected, really).
Thanks for taking a peak at what your challenge brought forth…
You’re right, we’re all affected.
Hope your feet take you to some healing places this weekend.
