“Music is a place” Philip Glass

Just a note to say ‘wish you were here’…I am camped out in the midst of prepping Swimming with Swans pieces for recording readiness.Β Too cool.
The road ends, but the journey continues...

Tantalizing! I hope the creative process is going well. The photo you chose is amazing, too! It really inspires my imagination to consider things on a cosmic scale. It is SO easy for me to become extremely myopic in my tiny, little, closed-off, microscopic part of the world. Music, art, and nature have a way of peeling my brain open again, but that picture of the nebula was just the thing that I needed today. Thanks!
Yes, the creative process is going well…peppered with times of angst, but well, you know how Mama Goat feels about all of that! π
As for the myopia (all you need is another scientific term, eh?), I experience that from time to time, too. I think it’s something that has plagued mankind since forever.
So glad sharing a gorgeous NASA photo opened up your world this past week!
I wonder if there is music in space and we just can’t hear it?
That is a juicy wonderment, Donna. We often think in terms of color-spectrum or the altering of the physics of wave/particle theory in ‘space’…why not music…sound? So there is no ‘atmosphere’ to carry sound waves – but that presupposes our type of ‘ears’ to hear them….
You got my mind pondering this…why not? And, the fun would be to discover how to open up the ‘music’ for us to ‘hear’ it…and then as a musician to harness it and create with it!
This gives a whole new meaning to the term “Music of the Spheres π
sounds good.
Great pun, Jane…thanks for stopping by.
I’m sure you’re busy, Laura. Praying that will go well. I’m excited for you! What a wonderful time!
Thanks! It is an exciting time. π
